Team Coaching
Working with what is not being said.
Systemic coaching: working with the team as a whole, through systemic constellations and connection work. At your own location or in Utrecht.
In every team, alongside the visible consultation, a second conversation takes place: about positions, loyalties, and what is and isn't being said.
Three half-day sessions, preceded by individual interviews with each team member.

Improving team dynamics: what is set in motion.
Team coaching here is not a training. It explores what lies beneath the collaboration: the positions people take, the loyalties at play, and what is or isn't said as a result.
Almost every program begins with a business-related reason — stiff decision-making, a reorganization that doesn't take hold, tension that no one names. What lies beneath is rarely business-related.
In consultation
What remained unspoken is given a place. Not as a confrontation, but because space is created in which it can be said. This changes what a meeting is about.
In decision-making
Decisions made on paper that do not take hold in practice usually point to something left unsaid. When that becomes visible, the value of a decision changes.
In relationships
Roles, positions, and loyalties become visible instead of just felt. What is visible can be discussed. What is only felt steers unnoticed.
What it is not: a team outing with a game element, or a training in communication skills. What changes here is not how a team talks, but what there is to discuss.
The trajectory
The work begins before the first day.
A program consists of three half-day sessions. The first two usually fall on one day; the third is a follow-up day, six to eight weeks later. What the team's dynamics require is leading — sometimes a different distribution is more appropriate.
This is preceded by an individual interview with each team member. This is not preparation but part of the work: what is not said in a group often comes up there.
There is no maximum team size. The number of facilitators is adjusted to what the group requires.

We explore whether this is the appropriate format in an introductory meeting. If the issue appears to lie primarily with the manager, then leadership coaching may be a better fit — and sometimes another path is more logical. In that case, I will say so.
The method
Making visible what is only felt.
A day has no fixed program. What is needed emerges from the individual interviews beforehand and from what happens in the room as soon as the team stands together.
In a systemic constellation — also known as an organizational constellation — the team literally takes a position. Team members stand in relation to each other, to an issue, to the organization they are part of. What remains abstract on paper thus becomes observable: distance, direction, who is watching whom, where things stall. Not as symbolism, but as information. People see at a glance what they previously only sensed.
Connection work is what comes next. Once something is visible, it can be discussed — and that conversation proceeds differently than the same conversation at a meeting table. Nothing is solved that is not relevant. What stood in the way of contact is restored.
My role is not that of a referee or advisor. I do not offer judgment on how a team functions, and I do not provide advice on the structure. What I do is direct attention: slower than usual, broader than just what is being said.
No preparation is required from participants. What is needed is presence.
The condition
What this work requires.
The entire team is present, including the manager. Whoever is missing is still present in a constellation — as an absence. And a manager who leads the team but stays away themselves changes the meaning of the day: then a system is spoken about instead of worked within.
The individual interviews are the gateway. They are not a preliminary introduction, but the first part of the work. If it appears that the willingness to look at what is going on is not there, the program does not begin and only those interviews are charged.
It goes through the uncomfortable. What becomes visible is not always comfortable. If the willingness to go through that is missing, I will name it and conclude. This is not a judgment on those standing there — it is the only way this work remains honest.
This is not structural advice. If the question really lies with roles, processes, or organization, then an organizational advisor is the appropriate path. What is examined here is the underlying dynamics. If it turns out afterwards that the structure still requires attention, that is a different conversation.
And sometimes it does not lie with the team. If the question lies with one person — with how someone leads, or with what they carry with them — then individual coaching is the shorter path. This usually becomes clear during the preliminary interviews.

Introductory meeting
First a conversation. Only then a proposal.
Thirty minutes, no obligation. We explore what is going on, whether this format fits, and what a program means in terms of planning and investment. No proposal follows until that meeting has taken place.
