My approach

Exploring. Connecting. Integrating.

The same movement underlies all my work — whether we have one conversation or run a whole programme. Three movements that together form a circle.

Not a step plan you tick off, but a route you can walk again and again. Each round the circle widens a little.

Integrative work

Integrative means: everything takes part.

I work with every part of a person. Your body and your nervous system. Your thinking and your convictions. Your history and the system you come from. Your spirituality — in whatever form it takes, or none at all. Nothing is left out of consideration, nothing is imposed on you.

The pattern you hold on to is never in one place. It sits in your thoughts ánd in your shoulders. In your calendar ánd in your breath. Whoever only talks changes only the story. Whoever brings everything along changes the ground the story stands on.

The circle

Eight points of recognition.

The route we walk can be drawn as an O. Not an order you have to work through — a circle has no beginning. But eight points at which you can say: I have been here. Or: this is where I am now.

A circle has no beginning — choose a point.

Before anything can change, something has to stop.

Attuning does not begin with doing, but with stopping. The moment you notice that the way you are approaching something no longer works — and that you are willing to stay with that for a moment without immediately looking for a solution. It is an inner yes to what presents itself, even when what presents itself is discomfort. Willingness is not a decision of the head. It is a softening in the body.

The covering falls away.

What looks like descent is in fact discovery — dis-cover-y, the removal of what lay over it. You do not go to a deeper layer in yourself because that is where the pain is, but because something lives there that you had missed. The body knows the way. The head only has to stop steering.

What you had kept closed, opens.

Opening is not an act. It happens by itself as soon as the descent is done. You notice that you feel something you could not feel before, or see something that was always visible. It is not a revelation in the grand sense of the word — usually it is quieter than that. It is the way a bud opens, slowly and without a sound.

In the clarity, everything falls into place.

What first felt fragmented — thoughts, feelings, body, situation — comes together here into a single line. This is not the clarity of a conclusion, but the clarity of a field in which everything is visible at once. There is nothing left to work out. You see what is there.

Out of clarity, choice comes by itself.

The turning is the moment at which something in your direction changes — not through willpower, but because something has been seen that cannot be unseen. The choice here is not a choice between options. It is the recognition of what has already been chosen by what you now know. Some turnings are small. Some change everything.

You do not work harder. You work differently.

Rising is where the insight leaves the body and enters the world. No heroics, no grand gestures — usually a series of small actions that seemed impossible before and are now self-evident. Transform-action is action that comes out of transformation, not the other way around.

What you have learned now lives in you.

Grounding is where the movement lands. Not as a conclusion, but as integration — the new way of being becomes so ordinary that you forget it was ever new. Ownership means you no longer have to return to the insight. The insight has become you.

The circle is complete.

Arriving at the eighth point, you look back at the seven you have walked. And you see that the circle was never a line. What you called the beginning was already connected to what you called the end. The descent was the rising in another guise. The attunement was the grounding without form yet. You did not see the rounding while you were walking it — but you do now.

In practice

How a session goes.

A session rarely begins with the content. It begins with landing — arriving in your body and in the room. From there we follow what is actually alive: sometimes in conversation, sometimes in body work, a constellation, a visualisation or psychodynamic work. No method leads; the form follows what your nervous system and the subject ask for.

Towards the end we take time to embody what has appeared. Insight alone often does not survive the week — it has to land in the body to be able to travel with you. After each session you receive a personal report with exercises for the weeks that follow. That space in between is not a pause; it is part of the work.

The foundations

Where the approach comes from.

Transformational Presence

Presence as the first intervention. We work with potential, not with problems.

Zijnsoriëntatie

Three words that carry the whole movement: notice, let go, allow.

Polyvagal-informed

Your nervous system decides faster than you think. Whether you are in alarm or at rest determines what you can feel, hear and receive — so that is where we begin.

Multidisciplinary and free of dogma. The methods are not in the foreground; they become visible through what happens in a session.

Introductory call

An approach is something you experience, not something you read.

The first conversation is the simplest way to feel whether this fits. Thirty minutes, free of charge, online. Not to decide anything, but to explore what is going on.
