Entrepreneurial Coaching
Coaching for entrepreneurs who carry the business.
Work on the pace a company enforces, the ground on which you decide, and the space between you and the business. For founders, owners, and director-major shareholders.
A company that runs on one person also runs on the state of that person.
Ten two-hour sessions, spread over several months in consultation. In Utrecht or online.

It rarely starts with the company.
Hardly anyone requests entrepreneurial coaching because the business isn't running well. It starts with a situation that can no longer be resolved with the tools used until then. Six of these recur constantly.
- The company grew, and the founder's role grew with it without a decision ever being made about it.
- Decisions come faster than the peace required to weigh them.
- An organization that runs on the energy of one person, and that energy is hitting rock bottom.
- Success that looks right on paper but doesn't feel right inside.
- An acquisition or an exit that is drawing closer, with everything that becomes unclear afterward.
- The discovery that working harder yields less than it ever did.
What these situations have in common: they are rarely solved with a better strategy. They are about the pace at which someone works, the ground from which they decide, and the space between them and the business.
I was an entrepreneur for twenty-five years. I built a company, sold it in 2021, and three months later, the inner wall of my carotid artery tore. What had made me strong had been exhausting me for years. I had seen the signals and kept going.
That doesn't make me a better entrepreneurial coach. It does make me someone who recognizes it before it is named.
What the work does
Where the company ends and you begin.
Entrepreneurial coaching here is not about the business. There is no growth plan, no model, and no advice about your organization. It works on the place from which you operate.
That sounds like a detour. In practice, it is usually the shortest route, because most stalled situations do not arise from a wrong choice, but from the state in which that choice was made.
In the pace
Speed has been an advantage for many businesses. But a pace that was once a choice becomes a habit one day — and a habit no longer asks for permission. The difference between acting quickly and being unable to stop becomes noticeable again.
In what you let go of
What a founder continues to do themselves often says more about trust than capacity. When that becomes visible, the question changes: not who can do it, but why it had to remain with one person.
In the space between
A business that is given all the space will one day take it all. A boundary emerges again between what belongs to the company and what belongs to you — and both generally benefit from that.
What it is not: a sparring partner for your strategy. There are good people for that, and I am not one of them. What changes here is not the plan, but the person executing it.
The trajectory
Ten sessions, and the time in between.
Entrepreneurial coaching follows the same path as the other individual programs: ten two-hour sessions, spread over several months in consultation. What differs is not the form, but what the conversation is about.
We determine the rhythm together. Some entrepreneurs like to work every other week, others deliberately leave more time in between because something needs to settle. Those weeks are not a break: what shifts in a session needs time to take effect. What does not work is cramming ten sessions into a calendar that is already full.

Honesty upfront
What this does not solve.
This is not business advice. If it concerns financing, strategy, or the structure of your organization, then a consultant or a good advisory board is the appropriate path. What is investigated here is the place from which those questions are approached. If it turns out afterward that advice is still needed, that is a different conversation.
It requires space, and that is usually the scarcest resource for entrepreneurs. Ten two-hour sessions is twenty hours. But the work does not only happen during those hours — it happens primarily in the days in between. Those who cannot clear any space at this moment would be better off waiting until they can.
With exhaustion that goes deeper than tiredness, it begins elsewhere. Coaching is not a medical treatment. If there are physical complaints, long-term exhaustion, or persistent sleep problems, please see a GP first. I know how tempting it is to push past that, and how much time it takes to reverse it.
And sometimes it's not about you. If the question lies in how the team works together — in what is and isn't said between people — then team coaching is the shorter route. This usually becomes clear during the introduction.
